Books read in 2005

Having seen other people's lists from last year, I kept track of the books that I have read during 2005. It doesn't include reference books that I've browsed rather than reading through, mostly Roleplaying Games and cook books, and is pretty much in the order that I read them.

System of the World, Neal Stephenson
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Susanna Clarke
The Algabraist, Iain Banks
Jamie's Dinners, Jamie Oliver
Command of the Oceans: A Naval History of Britain 1649-1815, NAM Rodger
1632, Eric Flint
Global Frequency: Planet Ablaze, Warren Ellis
Global Frequency: Detonation Radio, Warren Ellis
Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince, JK Rowling
Incubus Dreams (Anita Blake 12), Laurell K. Hamilton
Storm Front (Dresden Files 1), Jim Butcher
Fool Moon (Dresden Files 2), Jim Butcher
Thud!, Terry Pratchett
Silverfin (Young Bond 1), Charlie Higgins
Hovercar Racer, Matthew Reilly
Raven's Gate (Power of Five 1), Anthony Horowitz
Anansi Boys, Neil Gaiman
Desolation Island (Aubrey/Maturin 5), Patrick O'Brian
Grave Peril (Dresden Files 3), Jim Butcher
Bell, Book and Murder (The Bast Novels: Speak Daggers to Her, Book of Moons, The Bowl of Night), Rosemary Edghill
Summer Knight (Dresden Files 4), Jim Butcher
Death Mask (Dresden Files 5), Jim Butcher
101 Dalmatians, Dodie Smith

It's better than I expected; particularly given that I was reading Command of the Oceans for ages. It will be interesting to see how it compares to the list for 2006...

So I decided to get a blog...

I'm not sure what I'm going to talk about, but hey, everyone else seems to have a blog (random sample of bloggers asked) so why not. I'll probably talk about things that I think are neat and worth mentioning, rant and ramble about life, the universe and everything, and generally get ignored by the universe in general. Mostly it will be an excuse to actually write more (which I've been bad at lately).
Anyway, that's the first post, don't you wonder why you read it? I'm off to do something more productive. Or maybe watch TV.
